Brea, CA. (Jan. 8, 2006) --- Veterinary Pet Insurance Co. (VPI), the nation’s oldest and largest provider of health insurance for pets, has hired 18-year legal professional Philippe Grevin as the company’s general counsel. Grevin, who joins VPI with corporate counsel experience at State Farm Insurance, will be responsible for overseeing all legal affairs of the company such as corporate governance, regulatory, litigation, employment and contractual matters.

Grevin has extensive experience with the evaluation, critical review and amendment of corporate policies, practices and procedures. Prior to his corporate counsel position at State Farm, he served as a senior trial attorney with the company, a role he also held at the law firm of Menke, Fahrney & Carroll in Costa Mesa, California. His legal background includes associate and clerk positions with Knapp, Petersen & Clarke, the California Court of Appeal and the Office of the United States Attorney in Honolulu.

A member of both the United States District Court (Central District) and the State Bar of California, Grevin is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of Law (Juris Doctor degree) and the University of California, Berkeley (A.B., Legal Studies).

Grevin resides in Anaheim Hills, California with his wife Kathy, their three sons Grant, Connor and Christian, dog Cheyenne, tortoise Charlie, and pet snake. In his spare time he enjoys coaching his boys in football, baseball, basketball and soccer.
